Earcade — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Earcade (“the app”, “we”) handles information. The app is developed by Murat Yolalan.

In short

Earcade does not ask you to create an account, does not identify you, and does not track your behaviour. There are no ads, no analytics, and no third-party tracking tools. We do not sell or share data with anyone for advertising or marketing. The app sends information only when you choose to write to us from the bug report screen.

What stays on your device

Your settings (accessibility mode, speech rate, voice preference) and your game high scores are stored on your device only. They are never sent to a server, never shared with us, and not synced to iCloud. Deleting the app deletes them.

Bug reports (optional)

If you choose to send a bug report from within the app, the message you write is sent to us so we can investigate and fix the problem. This is handled through the form service Formspree, which processes and forwards your message to us. We use it only to respond to and resolve the issue you reported; we do not share it and do not use it for marketing. Sending a bug report is entirely optional, if you never use that screen, the app sends nothing at all.

Device information sent with a bug report

To make a report useful, the app automatically attaches your device model (for example “iPhone”), your iOS version, and the Earcade version and build number. Nothing else is attached: no name, no email address, no location, no advertising or device identifier. This information is sent only when you send a report, and only to reproduce and fix the problem.

Microphone and speech recognition

On the bug report screen you can dictate your message instead of typing it. If you choose to, the app asks for permission to use the microphone and converts your speech to text using Apple's speech recognition service. That conversion may be processed on Apple's servers; Apple's practices are described in the Apple Privacy Policy. The audio itself never reaches us and is not stored by us, only the resulting text, and only if you then choose to send the report. The microphone is used on that screen alone, and only while you are recording.

Purchases

The tips in the “Support the Developer” section are processed by Apple's in-app purchase system. Your payment details stay with Apple, we never receive card details, names or addresses, and we do not know which users have tipped.

Crash and diagnostic data

If you install the app through TestFlight or the App Store, Apple may collect crash logs and basic diagnostic information to help improve stability. This is handled by Apple under its own privacy policy, and you can turn it off in your device's privacy settings.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The only information the app can send is a bug report the user chooses to write.

Your rights

Because the app does not identify you, we hold no record tied to you. If you would like a bug report you sent to be deleted, write to the address below and we will delete the message.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will publish the current version at this same address and update the date above.
